• “The world will turn to Hawaiʻi as they search for peace because Hawaiʻi has the key; and that key is ALOHA.”
    – Pilahi Paki

This is a training program to become a certified teacher of The Path of Meditation that Leads to Living ALOHA (The Course).

The fact that you are here reading these words likely means you 1) are in or have graduated The Course, 2) fully understand its value, 3) have a calling to teach it, or 4) are curious about this teacher training program.

If you are familiar with The Course, you know the world greatly needs this. And the world greatly needs you!

This is a less-than-3 year training program. There are four steps to receiving certification to teach The Course:

  1. Attend The Course twice in a row (a short break in between is acceptable).
  2. Attend two week-long silent meditation retreats. (Optional yet recommended.)
  3. Attend the 7-day teacher training intensive following your second time completing the course (additional cost).
  4. Pass the exam given during the 7-day teacher training intensive.

Before the second time taking the course, you must purchase the teacher’s manual as a sign of your commitment to completing the teacher training. The manual contains transcripts of Kit’s talks which you may use verbatim or as a jumping-off place to speak from your own experiences and understanding.

During your second time taking The Course, you will also have access to Kit live online as a teacher-in-training every week for deeper insight or answers to your questions.

Important – During your time taking the course twice, it is imperative that you do the work of being aware of and living the teachings in your daily life. This and only this will lead to your ability to speak from deep personal experience during the discussion periods when teaching The Course. This ability comprises a major part of what is graded during the exam at the end of the 7-day teacher training intensive.

Once you pass the exam given at the the end of the 7-day teacher training intensive, you will receive everything else you need to start teaching The Course:

  • Transcripts of the class Q&A sessions,
  • Access to the weekly homework links and PDFs,
  • Access to the class recordings from Cohorts 8, 9, and 12,
  • Manuals for each of the Levels of The Course,
  • You will be listed as an official Certified Teacher of The Course on the main Hoʻi ka Hā website, and
  • Access to Kit live online for any insight you may need.

Costs

The cost of the teacher training program is as follows:

  1. Taking The Course twice in a row: pay the full amount for the first time you are taking Levels 3 through 6 – $1,050 up front or $26/week for 44 weeks. The second time is free. If you paid less than either of these amounts for the first time taking the course, you must pay the difference between what you did pay and the amounts above. (Exemptions are available if you graduated The Course in Cohort 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, or 8.)
  2. Teacher’s manual: $250US.
  3. Attend two week-long silent meditation retreats (additional cost depending on retreat producer – optional yet recommended).
  4. Attend the 7-day teacher training intensive following your second time completing the course (additional cost not yet determined).
  5. Pass the exam given during the 7-day teacher training intensive – FREE!

We always suggest that participants create an online fundraising page and attract family and friends to donate to cover the cost of any of our programs. You would be surprised how generous people are when it comes to supporting friends or family members who are training to improve themselves or bring meaning to others.
